I am a Mexican American actor, comedian and screenwriter of whimsical genre stories. Born and raised in Southern California, my passion lies foremost with my public school teacher wife and 4 children to which I am a Stay-At-Home-Dad.
I write emotionally impactful stories infusing the whimsy of saturday morning cartoons with the heart of Must-See-TV. My writing is characterized by an emphasis on love, family and community, often with a science fiction or fantastical twist.
As an actor I tread the boards as Ram's Gay Dad in "Heathers", lent my voice to an audiobook entitled "Complications In the Spirit Realm", reenacted a murder as Richard Gamboa on The Oxygen Network's "Buried in the Backyard", and took center frame as Isaac in the short film "Laugh It Off".
Stepping behind the camera I wrote/directed/produced the digital short, "Soda Can Tab Stand-Off", alongside a small crew of talented friends and zero ($0) budget, then directed Death herself in the digital short, "Of Death".
My first feature length screenplay, the post-apocalyptic musical comedy "Once Upon An Apocalypse", received Official Selection to the Chicago Comedy Film Festival, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Sacramento International Film Festival.
My short film (Writer/Director) "Upon A Car Crash", is funded and in pre-production to shoot early 2022. Our team hopes to push for a wide festival release that will pave the way for our first feature length production.
My writing is bolstered by training and performance at historic establishments including The Second City Los Angeles, The Groundlings, iO West, Spectacles Improv, Chaffey College, Citrus College, and I am currently pursuing my B.A. in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
I believe the biggest difference between any two people is what they believe is possible and what they believe is not. From political ideologies to how we raise our children, all of our choices are guided by what we think is achievable and attainable. I try to operate under the philosophy that given enough time and effort literally anything is possible. If that is the foundation of what I believe; the prism through which I view the world, then I have no choice but to set my goals higher than "reasonably" possible and be satisfied with the outcome. Whatever it may be.
Also, 90s Saturday Morning cartoons and TGIF must-see-TV are my jam.
