Out beyond the dark woods sits a lone house, the home of Nero. He's a violent man, a petty tyrant who rules with abuse and fear. For ten years, Dolly has lived in terror, growing more and more resigned each day. Her reason to cling to life is Angelia. At just ten years old, she's never known anything else. But late one night when a loud knocking at the door wakes them, everything in their lives begins to change .

Director Biography - Vicky Wanless

Producer/director Vicky Wanless is a woman who wears many hats in the industry.
She recently directed the award-winning short Ripples, and Once Upon A Midnight which is doing the festival run as you read.

She has directed other shorts, and was the third-assistant director on Season 7 of Australian Survivor. She was also a producer on the AACTA-nominated mockumentary pilot Little Diva Rising.
Vicky works tirelessly behind the scenes through a large variety of roles on a myriad of productions.
