Father and son are on their way to the airport to pick up a gift sent from abroad by the boy's godfather. Amid bureaucratic hurdles, with little or no hope for real political and social changes in the country, they find comfort and strength in their shared optimism for the future.

Director Biography - Samir Karahoda

Samir Karahoda is a Kosovo-based photographer, filmmaker, and cinematographer known for his distinct storytelling style that explores Kosovo's social and political realities. With a BA and MFA in Photography from Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul, he has also curated DokuFest's short film program for over 20 years.
Karahoda's directorial debut, In Between (Në mes), premiered at the Berlinale in 2019. His second short, Displaced (Pa vend), premiered in Official Competition at Cannes 2021, winning multiple awards, including the IMDb Pro Short Cuts Award at TIFF, Best Nonfiction at Sundance, and a nomination for the European Film Awards. His third film, On the Way (Rrugës), became his second short to be selected for Cannes (2024) and TIFF.
He is currently developing his first feature, Lost Frames.
