Director Statement

This film is about grief and how it affects people, especially those at a younger age. Ultimately, I think it shows how someone can overcome loss and be the person they want to be, and not be defined by their trauma. On a more surface level, the film is also about the divides in the United States today. I saw a parallel between these divides and the grief of the main character. With the film, I hope to make a comment on the importance of healing and changing our paths, as individuals and as a country.
