Ofelia
What lasts after experiencing all aspects of life?
At 88 years old, Ofelia reflects on her life under the attentive gaze of her grandchildren.
Family, love, disputes, adventures, and tragedies.
A poignant exploration of a grandmother’s legacy, bridging the gap between past and present, amidst the solitude brought to elders by postmodern times.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Facundo Bartucci initially moved to Milan to pursue his passion for filmmaking.
At a young age, he immersed himself in cinema studies and subsequently embarked on a journey to enhance his skills, relocating to New York to study at the renowned New York Film Academy (NYFA).
Upon returning to Italy, he initially focused on producing and directing Fashion Films, a common pursuit among many young filmmakers in Milan. However, after gaining valuable experience in the local industry, he decided to pivot his career towards directing his first documentary short film.
Titled "Ofelia," this project marks Facundo's directorial debut in the realm of filmmaking.
A love letter to my grandmother and a profound call to action for my family and every viewer, the paradoxical nature of the event depicted in this short film adds both richness and discomfort to the plot: in other words, exciting days like these have become the exception to the rule in Ofelia's life.
A situation that is becoming more and more frequent in this postmodern era, this short documentary seeks to give a space to reflect to Ofelia, an elderly woman who, after having a complete taste of what life is and its whole spectrum, as of today she does not count with the support she once had throughout her live and founds herself the only one to bear witness to her story.
Opening herself about family, love, personal disputes, adventures, and tragic moments of her life, Ofelia benefits from her grandson's visit to reflect on her life, her rights and her wrongs.
