Tiggy Bayley is a scriptwriter, director and performer. She is a beloved presence on TikTok for her self-written monologues and her most recent short film has been shown at festivals all over the world. For her work as a writer-performer, she was invited to pitch at Film London’s Upstream market event. She has been shortlisted for this year’s Film London’s Lodestars 2023 and selected part of BAFTA’s Connect programme as one of their future creative leaders. She has 12k+ followers on TikTok and was selected to play on BBC Radio London’s emerging talent program. Her most recent short film, in which she played the lead, was platformed by Girl in Film and Cannes Short Film Corner. It won seven awards including best short film at B3 Biennale, a writing award at Blackbird, New York and two best actress awards. Her other short films include Odette, F-14 and Weird.
Tiggy also works extensively in theatre. She completed Stonecrab’s Directors in Practice training programme in 2022 and has directed and performed work at The Cockpit, The Pleasance, Southwark Playhouse, Omnibus Theatre and Streatham Space Project in London. Tiggy trained with Jacques Lecoq Theatre School in Paris before obtaining a Master’s in Liberal Arts at The University of Bristol. She was also a member of Southwark Playhouse’s Young Company. In July she was selected for the Young Vic’s Springboard programme for digital content leaders.
She is currently working on her debut feature film, Tildypops, which was selected for development by Torino Film Lab Next Comedy 2022 and is now in financing. She is developing her one woman show, Squidge, to take to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024 after a series of performances in London, North America and Canada.
