"Ode to Digress" is a poetic film about the digressions of a man on a Tuesday night as he finds himself lost in his own thoughts, pondering life's questions through enigmatic objects present in his everyday life. The film is independently produced by Brazilian students.

Director Biography - Abrahão de Assis, maquina

Kevin (on the left) was born in Curitiba (Brazil), he is also known as maquina, he's a director, writer and film editor. As a director he started with "Inviável" (2022), "Pessoal" (2022) and "Ode ao Divagar" (2023), co-directed with Abrahão de Assis. His most recent work is the short film "o jardineiro - ou os equinócios de uma memória latente" (2025) and "Grimpa" (2025).

Abrahão de Assis, 24, is a filmmaker and photographer based in Curitiba, Brazil, originally from Rio de Janeiro. His work spans both film direction and alternative photography, with his recent films including Ode ao Divagar (2024) and Imagens (2024). In addition to directing, Abrahão works in the art departments, with notable projects like A Modelo, Canção do Cisne, and Caravelle 114. His photographic portfolio explores themes of disconnection from nature and delves into the Arab cause, emphasizing the self-determination of Arab people.
