Alisa Zichuk is a theater and film director, originally from Ukraine, currently residing temporarily in Prague. She graduated from Kyiv University of Culture with a degree in Film and Theater Directing. Over her 6-year career in the industry, she has directed three short films and staged a theatrical production. She is proud of her debut film, which has participated in festivals around the world. Her first film was showcased at festivals across three continents, including **FIVE CONTINENTS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL**, **South Film and Arts Academy Festival**, **Give Peace a Screen**, **International Film Festival of Shimla**, **YES Film Festival**, **Cut International Short Film Festival**, **Imagination Films International Festival**, **The Atlantis Awards**, **Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival**. Her work often focuses on exploring human emotions and relationships through the lens of personal stories. She is inspired by European art-house cinema and the deep emotional work with actors. In her second film, she delves into the theme of a character fighting for the right to change their fate, as the protagonist confronts their creator to rewrite their story. This film reflects her commitment to creating cinema that evokes deep emotional experiences in the audience. Currently, she is working on new projects and striving to continue growing as a director, exploring new themes and cinematic forms.
