Bebel is a girl who loves children's games, but now she has a new challenge: putting the kite in the sky. With pipeiro vocabulary and a soundtrack with funk beats, the short film ‘O Pipa’ talks about the enchantment of the toy for the hood.​

Director Biography - Isabela Alves

Isabela da Silva Alves (born September 14, 1997) is a journalist and filmmaker.

She is the founder of the production company Parasita Filmes, dedicated to making films about the outskirts of the extreme south of São Paulo.

Her short films are: Filming In The Hood (2022), Love The Island (2023), The Kite (2023) and Punk from the Periphery (2024). She also acted as the character Milena in the short Blogueira da Favela (2022).

As a filmmaker, she was recognized with awards at the São Bernardo do Campo Festival (for Love The Island), Mostra Na Tela na Quebrada (Filming In The Hood), and best direction, best script and best actor in the 17th Short Taquary (Love The Island).
