OCCULT

In “OCCULT”, a small investigative team, led by paranormal investigator Savio Furtado and guided by two filmmaker Krishang Vadgama & Jasvinder Singh, enter an abandoned house in India. They seek to uncover and document the presence of spirit energy. Using audio-recording devices, spirit communication techniques and their own reactions in the dark and decaying mansion, the film attempts to show that the supernatural can cross into the measurable world. The atmosphere is claustrophobic and charged: creaking doors, whispered voices, flickering lights, and moments of genuine dread combine to create a visceral investigation. What starts as a methodical paranormal inquiry gradually morphs into a confrontation with the inexplicable—and the team must decide how far they’ll go in chasing “proof”.

Director Statement

"OCCULT" was born from our curiosity about what lies beyond the limits of human perception. Growing up, I often heard stories about haunted places and spirit encounters — tales that hovered between belief and skepticism. I wanted to explore that grey space, not through fiction, but through observation — to see what happens when human fear, faith, and science collide in the dark.

This documentary isn’t just about ghosts. It’s about our need to know — to ask questions we may never truly answer. As a filmmaker, I wanted the audience to experience the tension and vulnerability of those moments where the boundary between the seen and unseen seems to blur. Through minimal interference, natural reactions, and a raw, handheld style, OCCULT allows the environment itself to become a character — unpredictable, alive, and sometimes, unsettlingly silent.

Ultimately, OCCULT is less about proving the supernatural and more about exploring belief — how fear transforms perception, and how curiosity pushes us into the unknown.
