Nteregu ( a story to be sung)
Nteregu is a visual and sound poem that tells and sings the story of Guinea-Bissau's music. From Tina to the culture of the mandjuandadi, from the tabancas of the “griots” to the dance floors of Europe, this is a centuries-long journey that reveals where modern Guinean music comes from and where it is going. Ancestral musical instruments and unpublished testimonies reveal the power of music in Guinea-Bissau as a means of transmitting (Nteregu) values and knowledge between generations. A film that also reveals how women, thanks to the Tina, the traditional Guinean instrument, sowed the cultural foundations of a nation and managed to abolish cultural differences and unify many ethnic groups around music.

Manuel Loureiro
"Each film is an exploration, of people, places, and questions that push me to look deeper. I value the unpredictability of reality, where every encounter can reshape the story and surprise both filmmaker and audience. For me, documentaries are journeys of discovery that never end when the camera stops rolling."
Roger Mor
"Documentary is an act of listening, a quiet dialogue with reality.
I chase the truth hidden in ordinary gestures. Each story holds its own pulse, and my task is to open space for it to breathe.
I see documentary cinema as a bridge of empathy, where transformation begins"
