Director Biography - Polina Zhiryakova (Lozh)

I was born in a spectacular city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. Since 2021 I have been in love with cinematography and have decided to become a director. In autumn of 2021 I started studying directing courses in the workshop of director Mariya Abadieva. In June 2022, I finished my debut short film “Never”, which took part and won in different international festivals. Moving on, I have made commercial videos, experimental short film and worked as an editor and producer on short projects. I have also performed as a judge on Dreamer Film Festival 2023 and as a speaker on ALP Film Festival 2023. Newest short film "Always Near" has won "Best director" nomination on its first film festival and is now on its way to international festival adventure.
