Writer Statement

I wrote "Not Lisa", thinking about the battle with my demons and the experience I've had with loss. The story gives voice to what I hide for fear of being misunderstood. It paints a picture of the chaos in my head and the minute of clarity I seldom cherish. It's my way of saying, "It's gonna be okay, as long as you keep breathing."
