Director Statement

This project stemmed from a desperate and almost commanding need to express ourselves creatively. Myself and Samuel, the film's protagonist, found ourselves at a point in our careers where we were working hard to achieve the visions of others and to earn a seat at the table until it felt like we were falling through the cracks to make room for others. After many conversations about what story we should tell we realized the only way forward was inward with a touch of absurdism - our favorite way to cope. The character's arc is one of need and internal struggles with imposter syndrome while navigating a system that isn't build for him. And what it really means to reach rock bottom. Our resources were very limited but I believe our team all related to the story in a personal sense that made the final product a success I am really proud of.
