Director Biography - Kayra Aydın

Kayra Aydın is a promising director, writer, and cinematographer. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He has had an interest in making short films since he was 12. His love for making films led him to study cinema. He is studying Radio, Television, and Film with a full scholarship at Istanbul Bilgi University (2021-2025). He's known for the music video "Risin-Kibir" and his first festival attending short feature film "Animals". He's won his first-ever award, "Best National Short" at Anatolia International Film Festival, with "Animals".

We wanted to create an engaging short film with very little production. I wanted to challenge myself to see if I can hook the audience with only one actor, one place, and with no dialogue.
