Private Project

Fall In Trans

I think that in its social dimension, the body functions as a standardization agent for gender and sexual roles.
This performance was born to take part of the socio-political march against “femicide” and “trans-murders” in Buenos Aires and it’s an invitation to reflection and meditation about Gender and the social body identification patterns.

Female/Male, Men/Women, Rewriting this binary codes means un-writing them.

Hence the same body goes from being a communally powered and armed body to reflect its socio-sexual role, to a body turned into a space of confrontation. Therefore, it seems very important to use transvestism as a ritual to question the submission to social norms & the politically-correct.

Director Statement

I think that in its social dimension, the body functions as a standardization agent for gender and sexual roles. This Performance is not only born as an artistic action of resistance, it is also and above all a continuous reflection on the construction of identity (sexual, social, cultural, political ...) and the use of the body as language, as subject, and as a binding symbol of relationships with oneself, with the other and with society.
