Niki‘s Music Shop
"Niki's Music Shop" - for many years musician Tom Blankenberg has been passing by the shop regularly, and he is fascinated by the fact that absolutely nothing ever changes here.
The collection of old instruments in the shop window has remained untouched and silent for decades.
And above all, the shop is always closed.
When Blankenberg sets out to find out what's behind it, the shop is suddenly open... maybe the music is coming back.
Best Mid Length Doc at Junction North Documentary Film Festival.

"Nikis Music Shop" - This shop has fascinated me for many years.
I grew up very close by, and it was always there.
And always closed.
I thought I could make a film about it one day in the future...
but then suddenly it was open and I had to start immediately.
I didn't know that I would be working on it for two years,
but I received such a friendly and warm welcome that I enjoyed every moment.
