Nick Broms: What's The Rush?
2X Downhill Skateboarding Jr World Champion Nick Broms takes us on a thrilling journey along the coast of California in preparation of his most gnarly ride yet. 70MPH down steep highway roads on nothing but a plank of wood and some wheels is just another day for this 18-year-old. We were fortunate enough to capture every second of this journey: his preparations for each run, how he deals with certain obstacles (weather, authorities, traffic), his raw fear of death/severe injury, his relationships within the downhill community, and most importantly we got to know Nick for the kind, thoughtful, passionate young man he is.

Best Music in a Feature Film
Film captivates me like nothing else ever has. Whether it be gaining experience on CNN’s “The Movies”, ESPN’s “College Football 150”, NBC’s “The Witnesses”, History Channel’s “Cola Wars”, or creating influential short films or eccentric music videos, I put my heart and soul into every project I take on.
My goal in life is to create content that inspires individuals to go out and pursue their passion, make a change, a difference in this world.
18-year-old "Nick Broms" journeys to teach us all that anything you set your mind to is possible... even if that means going 80MPH on a skateboard down a highway road.
We are able to get a glimpse into the mindset of this 2X Jr World Champion as he prepares himself for the most terrifying ride of his life.
This film is raw. Nothing you see is staged. We kept it a small crew and instead of avoiding seeing the crew and how the making of this Doc impacted Nick, we emphasized those moments.
This film was made to inspire those with "unreachable" dreams. It was made to give light to all the kind people in the downhill skateboarding community and promote this niche sport world-wide. It was made out of love and passion.
