Nice Coffee Co. "Our Story"

It all started with a simple idea; to use coffee to help educate kids and break the cycle of poverty, in some of the poorest of regions. The idea grew traction with offices and organisations who wanted to drink great coffee, whilst having an impact.

But this is only the beginning. We have a big vision to educate 10,000 kids by 2030, and we need your help.

This is our story.

Director Statement

“Nice Coffee Co. Our Story” was a part of a campaign produced for Nice Coffee Co.

The campaign consisted of this 5 min story, along with a series of cut downs for advertising and a coffee table book. Photography by Whitney Palmer. Written by Carrie-Anne Greenbank and Jude Kalman. All profits from the sale of the book go to St John's School in Kiberia.

The culmination of these pieces brought media interest and Nice Coffee Co was featured on National broadcast and print media around Australia.

Jim Chapman Co -Founder of Nice Coffee Co. writes;

"The launch of ‘Nice Coffee Co: our story’, was a pivotal point in the growth of Nice Coffee Co. and our corresponding impact. Without media, we always found it difficult to tell our story to potential customers – Australia seems like a World away from the harsh realities of Kibera Slum. The campaign brought tens of thousands of Australians into the shoes of a Kibera resident. It created emotion, empathy and ultimately motivated people to take action, or jump on board with Nice Coffee.

Whenever possible we use the 5 min to tell our story – we share it on social media, you can find it via a QR code on our packaging, you’ll see it spread across our website. Without it, we most certainly wouldn’t have been able to raise the $15,000 last December to finish the school building projects."
