New
Set in 1988, law student Wendy returns to her sister Jackie’s apartment to start a new life after several years of separation. Together with their old colleagues Marco and Diego, Wendy learns that the apartment is set to open new mysteries in their lives that may risk of putting everyone around them in danger. Josh Roque is a 3rd Year film student from CIIT College of Arts and Technology from Quezon City, Philippines. He has been pursuing his passion for film and videography since 2015, actively leading student productions for campus commercials, promotional
advertisements, and event coverage. As the current President of the student film org 24 Frames, he has produced the documentary “Magbukun” (Official Selection - Silip&Lente-AdU: Realifilm 2019) and narrative film “New” (Official Selection - Sine Siklab Film Festival 2019).
To instill the negative connotation on stereotyping through the incorporation of 80’s retro elements is what “New” stands for. The film shall serve as a cautional tale that people are beyond what we see them.
