Never Too Late
“Never Too Late” is an empowering anthem about pursuing your dreams regardless of life’s circumstances. In the music video, BECA escapes a dull reality through a vision of a cyberpunk world, reigniting the passions of two weary souls as they witness a magical phenomenon created by Beca’s journey. Together, they are transported to an even more vibrant future, celebrating their newfound spark and the magic within themselves. The video ends with Beca returning to her everyday life, hinting that the magic of the dream has carried over into her reality, blurring the lines between what is real and imagined.

“Never Too Late,” the song, was written by Becca Schack and Jonah Levy for the film “iMordecai” in which an elderly man, born and raised in a different time, must face the realities of the modern world. When he rediscovers the music of his childhood, he finds renewed hope and possibility. When creating the concept for the music video, I wanted to emphasize the song's original meaning and layers of emotional depth while highlighting the magic of this collaboration on a volumetric stage.
Beca’s journey in the video parallels the older man’s initial despair with the reality of women in the music industry who are often told they are “too old to be a successful artist.” The song and thrill of new technology, the virtual stage, inspire a vision that transports her to a vibrant cyberpunk world, representing the spark of hope and new possibilities. This world, or virtual environment, allowed me to highlight the magic and visual grandeur while staying true to the emotional flow of the song. Beca's journey, alongside two weary souls whose passions are reignited, celebrates the inner magic and resilience we all possess. Their transformation culminates at a futuristic nightclub, a metaphor for the joy and self-discovery the song brings.
Creating this project through Women in Media as a volunteer, educational endeavor added another layer of meaning. The collaboration, utilizing borrowed and traded resources, reflected the collective effort and passion of all involved, mirroring the song's message of finding strength and hope in unexpected places.
The support from Quasar Science Studios and Women in Media’s partners was invaluable in bringing this vision to life. I hope the music video’s blend of emotional depth, visual magic, and fun resonates, leaving audiences feeling uplifted.
