Director Statement

"Strangers" is a film that I adapted from a short Russian play, "Never Talk to Strangers," which deals with themes of loneliness and connection. It feels serendipitous that I first read this play in 2020 -- a time when the entire world felt lonely and disconnected. Although that time now has passed, the primal need to find a kindred spirit will always be at the center of human experience.
