Nest
What influence does hair have on femininity? And where is the boundary between family and personal identity? The artistic documentary “Nest” is dedicated to these questions. By putting on a wig made of my own hair, the female members of my family get to talk and reflect in interviews about the personal significance of hair in their lives. The interviews are intersected with footage of my ever changing hairstyles, trying to see myself in the stories shared and always returning to the initial question of identity.
