Neine
Neine follows the inner path of a woman moving through vulnerability and awakenings. Guided by the Neine, three priestesses of solace, she faces the knots of her life, turning the body into a living ground of metamorphosis. Through this feminine connection, solace unfolds as a gesture of care, deep listening and reconciliation.

Giorgia is a multidisciplinary italian artist with a background in dance and a strong interest in audiovisual and communication fields. She trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa, completing a thesis on the visual perception of movement in the relationship between audience and performers. She is graduated in CAM (Cinema, Performing Arts and Media) at the University of Turin and she's furthering her research at the intersection of dance and immersive media.
Luca Sansoè is a performer and choreographer active across contemporary dance, circus and opera. A graduate in DAMS and from FLIC Professional Circus School, he has collaborated with artists such as Carlo Massari, Piergiorgio Milano and Giovanni Di Cicco. He is co-founder of the collective CIFRA Danzateatro, combining his performance work with teaching and an interdisciplinary research that weaves together movement, singing and awareness.
Neine was first conceived as a dance performance by choreographer Luca Sansoè, inspired by the symbolism, colors and forms of the poppy. Its transition into film emerged from a collaboration with Giorgia Ponticello (direction) and Jody Hinterleitner (cinematography), during the making of the performance trailer shot between a cloister and a church. That encounter sparked the desire to expand the narrative through the language of cinema.
The film is not a documentation of the stage work, but an amplification of it: fragments of choreography are reimagined and placed in dialogue with architecture, landscape and costume. At the heart of Sansoè’s research lies the expressive power of the hands, envisioned as blossoming flowers.
Neine reflects on the sacred in a contemporary sense: from bodies to images, from the enclosed space of the church to the sacredness of nature. The creative process unfolded as a ritual of care and transformation, moving from the intimacy of dance to the shared experience of cinema.
