Director Statement

When I first met Neeti Gupta 5 years ago, I was instantly struck by how warm and approachable she was for someone with so much seniority. I was running an animation studio in Virginia at the time and felt like a small fry, but she spoke to me with respect, like we were already friends. I remembered her. Not what she said or did, but how she made me feel. Last year I approached her about doing a life story documentary short and we brainstormed on a Women in Tech Leaders DocuSeries that could be pitched to Netflix. I started doing interviews…and I found out my experience with Neeti was not unique. Everyone who knows Neeti says the same thing; “I love Neeti”. Her relational intelligence, her disarming laughter and her deep love for other people has been the bedrock of her massive success in the tech world.
