Director Statement

The character of this movie, Nabi, is a real worker who has worked in this tower since the beginning of its construction in Tehran. And I got to know him through working in the tower. When I asked him what would you do if you were fired after all these years? He gave me only one answer: I will go. I have to.
For me, people who are always ignored by society are a priority. Workers, immigrants, women, and any class of society have been ignored. The film Nabi is about workers, immigrants, and all those whom society ignores as if they never existed. The people you see when you approach them are full of pride, passion for life, and understanding, but at the same time, they feel fear and inferiority.
My film is about people whose names will never be recorded in history. They are never seen and always live like shadows and are fading away.
My goal in making Nabi's film is to increase people's attention to people around them like Nabi. See them, talk to them, and generally treat them like a human being.
