150 years after a war wiped out 98% of the world's population, the dystopian order enforces Nepenthe, a drug that erases emotions and ensures obedience. Fuzuli, a colony inhabitant, loses his wife Mahsa, who is immune to the drug and can't adapt, leading her to commit suicide. This event makes Fuzuli feel emotions for the first time, but he ignores them. He is followed by Ramin, a member of a nomadic group immune to the drug, who reveals that the truth is not what it seems.
