Director Biography - Sophia Lassi

DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Sophia Lassi, born in Volterra on June 17, 2009, is a singer, actress, director and screenwriter. When she was six years old she was cast in the Rai 1 drama Luisa Spagnoli, and from there she was sucked into the world of cinema, which became her greatest passion. She writes several songs that she releases and uses in the soundtracks of her films. Songwriting took her to win The Pubblic Award at Amnesty International Festival in Rovigo.
Her biggest dream remains to become a director and screenwriter. This led her, despite her young age, to write her first short film.
In fact, at the age of 12 she began writing the screenplay for Monster, the short film that tells the story of the teenager Francis. This short film is a test for her, one that will get her through the psychological trauma of middle school, during which Sophia had been severely bullied.
After Monster she has 2 other short films on her credit: NECRONOMICON (winner of the Believe Film Festival) and A UN PASSO DALLA FINE (winner of the Cecinema 72h DocFilmContest)
