NANDY_THE ETERNAL WAITING

Parental pressures and poor economic conditions deprive many children from their fundamental right to education. In the short film Nandy, the adamant father compels 9 year old Nandya to continue their ancestral profession of carpentry.
Throughout the film, Nandya carries a wooden ‘nandy’ – his creative toy, a symbol of eternal waiting and blind following. Will the longing for education of little Nandya come to an end? Will his father understand the importance of education?
