Carina Abrantes was born in Aveiro in 2003. She is currently a game designer, who has already developed several titles. A stand out from her portfolio is "Entrudo", a rhythm game for PC (which was a finalist in the PlayStation® Talents Awards, 2022), "Sweet Anniversary", an adventure game for Game Boy™ and Web Browser, and "Preserve", a cli-fi for PC as part of Game Jam+. At the moment, she is developing the Macao-based adventure “Nata” for PC.
In addition to developing games, Abrantes also has a huge passion for photography, cinematography and video editing, having already finished two movies - "Para a minha avó Fernanda", a documentary about her grandmother and "Serenidade Campestre", a visual essay on rural life .
Carina is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in “Digital Games and Multimedia” at Polytechnic of Leiria.
"Sinto saudades do que ainda não partiu." - I miss what I haven't lost yet.
Do you know the feeling when you realize that you're living the best years of your life right in that exact moment? In my opinion, it is a bittersweet feeling. The mixture between missing out what is still there and fearing that you're not enjoying it at its fullest can be difficult to handle.
That's basically what this film is about: preserving the memories that I was so afraid to miss and handling the "saudades" that they evoke in me.
