Mykestesia N.1

A posthuman intruder of the Anthropocene, a plausible mutant, Mykestesia reproduces the involuntary resistance strategies of mushrooms "at the end of the world," which grow in degraded landscapes through productive collaboration with other species. This absent but fatally anthropomorphic subject tries to be born in an indefinite future, projecting its roots out of the ground.

Director Biography - Federico Pipia

Federico Pipia (Palermo, 1996) is a Composer, Director, Musician and Sound Artist based in Italy.
He is interested in direction, music and sound design for theater, cinema, audiovisual, acousmatic composition, instrumental performances, live electronics and musical productions of various kinds; he has performed his projects in numerous theaters, venues and international festivals. His research focuses on the contamination between different medias, and the combination between traditional tecniques and new technologies.
