'Perpetual Beauty', 2009, was his first film and had as Director of Photography Waldemar Lima (Waldemar Lima was the Director of Photography of 'Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol', a film by Glauber Rocha, Brazil, 1964).
'Perpetual Beauty' was filmed in Super 8, in 2001, and had the digital version in 2009. This experimental short film, without conflict in its storyline, seeks to present a vision of the current world through the eyes of a humanist painter; conceived as a poem the film has its structure based on the images. In 2011 'Perpetual Beauty' participated in the 7th Curta 8 - International Film Festival Super 8 in Curitiba, Brazil.
Christophe Spoto was born in 'São Paulo', Brazil, in 1969, and studied painting, engraving, marble sculpture and bronze sculpture at the 'Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara', Italy, where he graduated in painting in 1990. In 1991 he participated in the 'Núcleo Brasileiro de Animação Clássica', created and coordinated by Céu D'Ellia.
“I belive the art can change the world, I belive in a world where the nature will be absolutely respected.”
Original version in portuguese: “Acredito que a arte pode mudar o mundo, acredito em um mundo onde a natureza será absolutamente respeitada.”
