My evening star

A screen adaptation of Taras Shevchenko's poem "My evening star" in stop motion animation technique
A princess, who has been imprisoned in a castle by a prince, finds her only true friend - the dawn. She asks him to tell her what is happening in Ukraine. The star shows her how beautiful Ukrainian nature is, but suddenly tattered souls of innocent children appear on the trees. Somewhere in the field, a werewolf howls, and an owl, like a guide through time and space, takes us from ancient times when people worked for the lord to the present, when enemy missiles hit homes.

The animation ends with a depiction of the devastating effects of war and the destruction of cities, but inside one of the ruins a flower sprouts, which becomes a symbol of Ukraine's revival. It is a call for hope and a better future. The final shot demonstrates that even in dark times, a light of hope can appear, which can sprout and grow, even among the ruins and destruction.
