My Part
In December 2012 two filmmakers meet with the intention of making a film from two looks: her look at him and his look at her. He, a cis man; she, a person who was not known to be anything else at the time.
They then search for a very cheap and popular motel room, take their cell phones, which were not yet smartphones, equipment, and go on this venture of researching their personal views on each other's bodies.
For 10 years the attempt to make this filmic dialogue was silenced.
Her part was already sketching life and waiting for his part that was never finished.
Would it be one more time a man being erasing a devir woman?
This devir woman observes the man and asks herself: what does the word "man" mean?
And ten years after a long wait, My Part is born.
MY PART, is a broken film.
This is her part.
Her point of view.
Her gaze.
The other part is lost in time and in the past.

Description: "My Part" centers around two filmmakers who come together in December 2012 with the purpose of creating a movie based on their individual perspectives. He is a cisgender man, and she is a person who, at that time, did not yet fully realize her identity as a womxn (an alternative spelling of "woman" that emphasizes the connection to womxnhood).
They decide to conduct their artistic exploration in a budget-friendly and widely accessible motel room. Armed with simple equipment, including non-smartphone devices, they embark on a journey to understand and capture their personal views of each other's bodies.
However, for ten long years, their efforts to complete this filmic dialogue face a profound silence. While the woman's part is already taking shape, the man's contribution remains unfinished, leaving their artistic endeavor incomplete.
As they grapple with questions of identity and existence, the concept of "devir" comes into play. "Devir" refers to a philosophical and transformative concept that challenges conventional norms and categories. The woman, in particular, wonders if once again, a devir man is erasing a devir woman, alluding to the potential for a male perspective to overshadow or silence the female experience.
In the midst of their artistic and existential exploration, the woman introspectively contemplates the meaning of the word "man." This self-reflection prompts a deeper understanding of gender and societal constructs.
Finally, after a decade of waiting, "My Part" emerges as a profound and thought-provoking narrative, encapsulating their journey of discovery and artistic expression.
In essence, the film delves into themes of identity, gender, existence, and creative collaboration, offering a deep and compelling narrative shaped by their unique perspectives and experiences.
