Lucas began studying at Penn State University in August 2021. He is a department supervisor for CommAgency, a student-run media firm, and provides creative assistant work for a marketing team at the Eberly College of Science. He will graduate in May 2025.
Lucas has written and directed several short films, and boasts a writing portfolio that includes two features and three pilots. He has also volunteered at the Centre Film Festival, directed a student talk show called Nittany Talk, and directed several hours of a THON fundraising livestream through an organization called 46LIVE.
During his junior year he interned at Mandalay Pictures & Charles Osowik Management in Los Angeles. Lucas plans to move back to LA in late 2025 to pursue a career in writing. His goal is to be a showrunner.
While learning to step out of my shell, I noticed that I spent a lot of time interacting with strangers like I was giving them an interview. Learning how to socialize with new people has always been something I struggled with, and I felt compelled to write a film about it while paying homage to my hero.
