My Home

Until recently, the village of Alexeyevka existed on the territory of the Khachmaz district of Azerbaijan. Alexeyevka was an international village and homeland, a warm hearth for all who lived there. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the population, Russian and Ukrainian by nationality, began to move to other regions of the world for various personal reasons. In doing so, Alekseevka slowly changed...
Larisa, longing for the merry times of Alexeyevka, finds solace in memories of the bygone and in social networks, where she shares them with her compatriots. She never tires of sitting down at her computer every day, looking for communication with old fellow villagers, inviting them to her home in Alexeyevka.
Nina, who had to leave her native village when she was young, lives in Krasnodar, but, like all her fellow villagers who left Alexeyevka, she longs for it. For Nina, Alexeyevka is her father's grave, memories of her mother and carefree childhood. Although she often visited her homeland in her dreams, Nina could not come for a long time. But finally, her dream comes true. The two friends meet in the village of Alexeyevka (now Chaikenari) in Azerbaijan and try to feel the warmth of the past again.
Being no longer a hostess but a guest in Alexeyevka, Nina completes the trip and returns with new memories, having promised her father to return.
For the characters in the film, life returns to the way it was before. Larisa fills her life again with waiting in front of the computer, running up happily at every incoming call. And Nina lives far away from her homeland with old photos, memories and news she received from Larisa.
‘My Home’ is the story of all those alienated by the sorrow of life, who have lost their relatives, who live in search of that very corner of happiness, its smells, its atmosphere and, not finding it, sheltering it in their hearts.
