My Dirty Secrets
After his mother is critically injured in a hit-and-run, 14-year-old Sport McAdams mistakenly believes she has abandoned him and his younger brother Oliver. Desperate to keep them together, Sport is drawn into a web of internet exploitation by Sid, a manipulative bank teller, and his sadistic brother Ted. As Sport’s world unravels, he finds a tenuous ally in Miriam, a compassionate social worker, but as the stakes escalate, Sport must risk everything to protect Oliver and expose Ted’s network of "dirty secrets."

James Tuverson is a screenwriter, director, musician and producer whose work delves into dark, character-driven narratives that explore moral complexities, psychological tension, and the resilience of the human spirit. With over 30 screenwriting awards at prominent festivals like the Austin Film Festival, SlamDance, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Colorado Film Festival, James’s work is celebrated for its complex characters, razor-sharp dialogue, and gripping storylines.
I believe stories should speak truth to power and give voice to those who are too often unheard. I write to explore the gray areas of human nature, where resilience, justice, and hope still manage to break through. Even in the darkest moments, I believe storytelling can light the way forward.
