My David
Rose, an elderly woman appearing to struggle with dementia, is consumed by loneliness. One day, a jittery and awkward delivery man arrives at her door, claiming payment for an overdue shipment. Drawn by curiosity, or perhaps something deeper, Rose invites him inside. What begins as a mundane encounter quickly shifts into a tense power dynamic, as the two strangers expose their vulnerabilities and secrets, turning the tables on each other.

Passionate for telling raw, humanistic stories that get in touch with our emotional sides, Kama is an emerging, Vancouver based filmmaker of South Asian background, who's work has received accolades from the Leo Awards, Whistler Film Festival, Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival, and more. Kama is growing his skillset as a director with short films Glory Days, The Bus Stop, and most recently My David, along with a short documentary shot on location in Cambodia, and practical industry experience in the camera department. Kama has a great respect for the craft of filmmaking, he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Motion Picture Arts in 2020, and has attended the New York Screenwriters Lab.
My goal with My David was to tell a story with only two actors, in one location, but make it complex between the two characters. With a humanistic feel, secrets and twists are revealed between these two lonely, and struggling individuals.
