Born in Argentina and raised in the south of Brazil, Andrés works in animation since 1990. He is the proud winner of the Liv Ullmann Peace Award (CICFF 2003) for directing the short film “Fadeaway”.This is his first Feature film.
Andres has a special talent and instinct for character design and his films convey a lot of emotion through small gestures, colors or camera angles.
Today Andres lives in Rio de Janeiro. He is a post-graduate level professor in animation at PUC- One of Rio’s most prestigious Universities and was the president of ABCA - Brazil’s Animation Association of Professional Animators (2007) and presently serves on it's Board of directors.
He is the creator and lead director (or animation director) of the My Big Big Friend TV series, Jobi’s Room, Count on Me and all of the Studio’s original productions.
This is a film about facing your fears and making new friends. In this strange new world where children have been home and alone for nearly two years, I feel it is an important message for children all over the world.
