Director Statement

Before this room was destroyed, I recorded it. The mud walls where my family once gathered were marked for replacement in the name of progress. I filmed every detail and layered it with archival sounds from our time inside it. This film is my refusal to let memory be erased, and a question about what development demands us to forget.
