A Swedish writer, producer, director, editor and cinematographer based in Helsinki, Finland. Studied screenwriting and directing at Arcada - University of Applied Sciences. Wrote, directed and edited four short films at Arcada, and after graduating has written and directed two independent productions - Then & Now and See me.
Horror is my favorite genre of all time, and one that I've always wanted to explore. I got this idea to write a romantic horror movie about a girl who travels to meet her online crush, but she has no idea that the guy she's meeting is a serial killer. I wanted to dive into the whole thing of not really knowing the person that you're meeting, and what kind of secrets that person is hiding.
The idea was to write a straightforward horror movie with a lot of violence and tension, but very quickly it went into directions that weren't planned. I found myself wanting to write a horror movie that was just as horrific as it was tender and intimate. The initially planned scenes of explicit violence were removed in favor of suggestion, implication and mystery.
It was a huge endeavor to write it. I started in mid-November 2024, and finished the first draft on 13th of January, 2026. I stopped writing it several times, because I had no idea where it was going and I thought it was maybe a non-feasible story. I kept coming back to it however, because I still had belief in it and the characters.
In the end, it was worth the amount of time that it took. I'm very excited about this story, and I hope that it will appeal to the people reading it.
