TOM BLOCK: Tom is film industry professional with many years of experience in the development, production, acquisition and localization of fiction and factual content for a multitude of production studios and broadcasters. He was most recently employed as a film buyer for the Leonine Studios in Munich, acquiring feature films for distribution in the GAS region. Previous employers include A+E Networks Germany, NBC Universal Germany and the ProSiebenSat1 Media SE in Munich, the BBC in London, the IYUNO-SDI Group in Berlin and the Red Bull Media House in Salzburg.

Tom originally developed the concept and first draft for MUTE, DEAF & BLIND in 2016, but it wasn’t until 2022 that the final shooting script for the proof-of-concept was completed in collaboration with lifelong friend and creative accomplice Raúl Piñero. Previous credits as writer, producer & director include the HISTORY Germany production STIMMEN DER CORONAKRISE (2021) and his debut feature film MOSQUITO: A FISTFUL OF BITCOINS (2015), which is distributed globally by Adler & Associates Entertainment.

RAÚL PIÑERO: Raúl received training at the Spanish screenwriting academy Factoría del Guión and the Autonomous University of Madrid in the field of philology. He's not only an avid reader and writer, but also a true movie buff in love with storytelling in all of its forms.

Raúl enthusiastically put pen to paper in the early stages of pre-production of MUTE, DEAF & BLIND, re-writing and perfecting several scenes from the original script, adding new scenes and generally adapting the project in such a way that it could be easily executed as a Madrid-based production. Through his connections in the Madrid-based film industry, Raúl and Tom managed to put together a reliable, commited and qualified film crew.
