Director Biography - Kyle Cyr

I grew up with a passion for storytelling and movies.

First falling in love with the horror genre, I started dabbling with the camera very young.

It wasn't until High School that I started taking filmmaking seriously and eventually attended film school in Orlando, Florida, where I graduated in 2011.

Ever since, I've been doing anything I can to work behind the camera.

We all have stories to tell, and I'm driven to tell mine, but more importantly, be influenced by all the amazing people that come into my life.

Every experience shapes who we are and who we want to be.

Director Statement

There's something to be said about memories and the specific objects or places we attach them to.

Music is an easy way for us to be transported back to a specific memory or emotion, good or bad.

If you think of a music box and what it represents, it doesn't omit any music until you open it. It sits on the shelf until we decide to open it and enjoy the melody.

That's exactly how I see relationships or the people that come in and out of our lives.

They come and leave an impact, but if they aren't around in our lives anymore, it doesn't mean they truly left. We can revisit those memories and emotions anytime we want.

Sitting on the shelf of our hearts until we decide to open them and remember exactly how they made us feel and how we wouldn't be the people we are today without them.
