Mukti
This is the story of a simple farmer crushed under the weight of debt and natural calamities. One day, a postman delivers a bank notice stating that if he fails to repay his loan within six months, his land will be seized. Lost and helpless, he sits near a temple where devotional songs are playing. An elderly man consoles him, reminding him that hardships are never permanent.
The next day, rains arrive, and with renewed hope he begins working on his field. But by evening, a severe downpour destroys everything — the seeds wash away, and his last ray of hope collapses. Broken and devastated, he decides to end his life.
Just then, an elderly woman informs him that all farmers affected by the flood will receive compensation and their loans will be waived. Hope returns to his eyes, and he steps away from death.
The film ends with a slow shot of the abandoned noose — and the final message:
“Standing with farmers in times of natural disaster is true humanity.”
“Suicide is not a solution to any problem.”
