Director Statement

This short was both an expression of all the films I love and the films I'd like to make.

I really wanted to explore a way of viscerally communicating an experience, through sound, image and performance.

It is clearly very personal, I wanted to put something down to commemorate the experience of grief primarily because loss is something we are all familiar with and however painful and confusing it is, the exploration of it brings people together and hopefully provides a little light at the end of the tunnel.

"It may be different for others, but pain is what it took to teach me to pay attention. In times of pain, when the future is too terrifying to contemplate and the past too painful to remember, I have learned to pay attention to right now. The precise moment I was in was always the only safe place for me. Each moment taken alone was always bearable. In the exact now, we are all, always alright"... Julia Cameron

Couldn't say it better really.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.
