Mother
An elderly mother lives with someone she has loved and cared for all her life, a soul burdened by mental illness. She protects her, tends to her, and loves her deeply. But as the mother's own health begins to deteriorate, the one she once sheltered finds herself adrift in a world she can no longer understand.

Yoga Mahendra Pratama (born June 3, 2006) is a young filmmaker who began his career as a director while attending vocational high school. He won his first film award at the 3rd Ciputra Film Festival for Best Documentary (2024) with the film "Rupiah Dari Besi Tua."
That same year, his documentary also received the Official Selection at the UNEJ Film Festival and the Dynamic Cinema Festival.
His passion for continuous creativity has led him to successfully create several short films that have been actively participated in various film festivals both domestically and internationally.
This film was inspired by my grandmother, who lived alone in the village because her children and grandchildren had migrated to the city. This issue is very prevalent in Indonesia, given the large number of neglected elderly people. Not only the elderly, but also people with mental illnesses experience the same thing. They are ignored and often shunned by their own families.
In this film, I combine these two issues and confront the contradictions that exist in society. The setting is a retired teacher and her student, as well as an environment that doesn't support an elderly person caring for someone with a mental illness, who is like their own child.
