Nathan Tape has been making films since he was thirteen. Since then, Nathan graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans in 2002, spent a summer at the New York Film Academy, and obtained his Master’s Degree in Film Production in 2006 from LMU/LA. Nathan returned home to Louisiana the next year and began working in the lighting department on major Hollywood productions, soon graduating to becoming a Gaffer for films and television. In the meantime, Nathan continued to work as cinematographer on short films (Stick Up, Hubris), and feature films (Jake’s Road, King of New Orleans). Nathan also directed and photographed over ten music videos including some for his hip-hop group Know-One and DamNathan. Nathan is a cinephile and recently discovered a love of cooking. Moriah is Nathan’s first narrative project as a director since his graduate thesis in 2006.
