Monologue La Chimère et Chrysomallos

Née de la rencontre entre la poète-performeuse Hélène Matte (Québec) et la fildefériste-poète Marion Collé (France), La constellation du gigot est une installation-performance créée à l'occasion du festival numérique Constellation dans les vestiges de l'Eglise St Livier.

Questionnant le rôle de l'artiste, autour des notions de sacrifice, de don de soi et de quête d'équilibre dans une société de plus en plus normée, cette performance mêle textes poétiques, performance circassienne et arts visuels. Le travail du corps et de l'écrit, l'enjeu de la rencontre, le désir de tendre un fil par-delà les conventions constituent les lignes de tension de cette création in situ, fruit d’une collaboration qui a pris place à Québec, Metz et à distance.

Born from the meeting between the poet-performer Hélène Matte (Quebec) and the tightrope artist-poet Marion Collé (France), La constellation du leg is an installation-performance created on the occasion of the festival Constellation in the remains of the Church of St Livier. .

Questioning the role of the artist, around the notions of sacrifice, self-sacrifice and the quest for balance in an increasingly standardized society, this performance combines poetic texts, circus performance and visual arts. The work of the body and the writing, the challenge of the encounter, the desire to stretch a thread beyond conventions constitute the lines of tension of this in situ creation, the result of a collaboration that took place in Quebec , Metz and remotely

Director Biography

Hélène Matte has been working in Québec City’s cultural scene for over twenty years as a multitalented free agent. She is a writer and a poet, a curator and a mediator, a performer and a visual artist, a mother and a citizen. Her artistic practice examines the notions of the voice, encounters and experimental poetry. She practices action art, draws and writes. While Matte has exhibited and performed in Europe, Canada and elsewhere in the Americas, she is also active locally, initiating and coordinating unifier’s projects. Hélène Matte regularly publishes her work and has directed and produced numerous works of video poetry.

Marion Collé
Marion Collé is a tightwire dancer and an author. Former student of Isabelle Brisset and Manolo Dos Santos, she completed her circus training in CNAC and worked with several companies. Before her circus studies, she studied literature and obtained a Master’s degree specializing in Guillevic’s poetry and the representation of the figure of the performing acrobat in literature. She publishes poetry, writes for circus companies and has won several poetry prizes.
