Jayzee Cali is a Winnipeg-based award-winning filmmaker and director. Known for her background in film, musical theatre, and producing various commercials and short-form content, Jaye has the knack of making ideas come to life. She often works with her sister, Jaenna Cali as a Director/Producer or Director/Actor duo at Cali Creative Productions, their own production company. "Miss Fortune" was the first short film that they co-wrote together with Jayzee Directing and Jaenna as the lead actress. They created "Miss Fortune" in only 48 hours from writing, pre-production, production, and post-production.
Within 48 hours, my wonderfully talented team and I created “Miss Fortune”; inspired by fortune cookies and aspects of my Filipino culture & heritage. We are proud of an Asian-female-led film and we hope to grow Asian representation on screen!
