Randa Ali is a writer, director & producer working between Egypt & the US. In 2024, her short Mango, an exploration of loss and grief through a daughter-father relationship, was selected in the official competition of the 46th Clermont-Ferrand Int'l Short Film Festival.
Randa’s work explores themes of alienation, defeat and the desire to connect in a continuously changing world. She is interested in telling stories of individuals through places and is currently in development for her first feature film project.
She is a graduate of UCLA's MFA directing program from the school of Theater, Film & Television, where she was a recipient of a full-ride scholarship offered to female filmmakers from the Arab world.
